Regional Museum of Querétaro
The museum is located within a section of the former Grand Convent of San Francisco de Querétaro, a prominent colonial construction of significant artistic and cultural value, pivotal in the evangelization and cultural promotion in Querétaro. It is situated in the historic center of the city, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building, dating back to the 16th century and expanded in the 18th century, underwent modifications in 1879. Its halls house archaeological, ethnographic, colonial, and contemporary collections, including ceramics, sculptures, paintings, furniture, clothing, weapons, modes of transportation, photographs, and documents.
